We Said 'Goodbye To All That'

Time passed since we ceased broadcasting to the Royal Hospital Haslar

On March 14th 1993, Radio Haslar began broadcasting to what was then known as the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar, which later became the Royal Hospital Haslar as the hospital became Tri-Service.

Sadly after nearly 16 years we said farewell to our home due to the impending closure of the hospital, but we went out with a bang.

On Saturday the 21st February 2009 between 9am and 12 midday we broadcast our final programme to the Royal Hospital Haslar.  Entitled 'Goodbye To All That', this special programme looked back over the past 16 years, featured many former members and presenters and included requests and dedications for those that were in hospital with a 'Live' ward link up.

For those of you who were up bright and early we started the day with a final day breakfast show between 6am and 9am, presented by Brian Purvis
