This week’s main guest will be guest Shep Woolley.

Where do you begin with Shep’s career: he is a folk singer, songwriter, comedian, entertainer, Radio Victory presenter, script writer, and festival director. He is also an after dinner speaker, a maritime entertainment specialist, and a campaigner for real ale. He has performed with the likes of Liza Minnelli, The Dave Clark Five, and Matt Monroe.

On the show he will be chatting about his life, his career and real ale.

The latter will compliment interviews recorded with the organisers, and visitors, of the Gosport Beer Festival – which
was held at Thorngate Halls the weekend of the 17th & 18th, February.

And in a packed show we will also find out what happened when Andrew Ross-Hay journeyed over to Fratton Community Centre and entered their Caribbean Pancake Race.

Friday night is newsweek night and the show’s presenter, Andrew Ross-Hay, is in need of some assistance.

Newsweek often has guests arriving at the studio to do a live chat with Andrew and he would very much like to have someone with him who can meet and greet the guests, and generally look after them, until Andrew is ready to take them into the studio for the live show.

If you are interested in helping Radio Haslar with this please e-mail us at studio@radiohaslar.co.uk and we will do the rest.

Radio Haslar were at the Falkland Gardens 11 & 12 February playing music, talking to people, playing music and raising money.

The public, as always, were fantastic. Some sang along to the music, some danced to the music, one lady even danced with one of our presenters.

All at Radio Haslar would like to thank everyone who stopped and gave what they could to our collectors. We should particularly like to thank the person who donated £100.

Without your generous support Radio Haslar would not be able to continue providing the service that we do to the staff & patients at The Gosport War Memorial Hospital.

Thank you!
