Withdrawal Day - Royal Hospital Haslar 1753 - 2007
On Friday 30th March 2007 the MOD will
finally withdraw from running the Royal Hospital Haslar and
hand over day to day control to the NHS. This is a
very special day not only for Radio Haslar but also for
everyone who has been connected with the hospital over the
years, from staff, patients to the local residents of
Gosport who really have taken Haslar to their hearts since
its opening in 1753.
Radio Haslar will be covering the days
events and broadcasting them to our listeners around the
wards of the War Memorial and Haslar. A special programme
schedule can be found
here.
Please be advised that although the MOD
are withdrawing from the day to day running of Haslar the
hospital will remain open and continue to function as normal
under control of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. The
MOD will still maintain the buildings and property and Radio
Haslar will continue to broadcast as normal
